What is a CBD Drink?

CBD drinks are a type of alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage infused with CBD, a natural compound found in the hemp plant. This compound is non-psychoactive so it doesn’t cause a “high” or produce other cannabis-like effects.

Beverages infused with CBD aren’t just limited to classic juice or lemonade — you can mix the compound with coffee or tea as long as you follow the proper dose.

5 Easy-to-make CBD Drinks at Home

Preparing your own CBD concoction is as easy as adding a few drops of Verma Farms CBD oil to your morning coffee or glass of orange juice. But if you want to add a bit of pizzazz, we’ve listed some CDB drink recipes you can try.

CBD Vegan Eggnog

The holiday season’s right around the corner, so why not treat yourself to a creamy cup of CBD-infused eggnog? Here’s what you’ll need.


  • 2 cups fresh almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon of melted coconut butter 
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 1 dropperful of CBD extract
  • 1/2 tablespoon of nutmeg
  • 1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 tablespoon of vanilla extract
  • A pinch of Himalayan salt

How to prepare:

  • Add all the ingredients to a blender and mix until creamy.
  • Pour the mixture into two glasses then garnish with nutmeg. Enjoy!

Note: You also have the option to turn the eggnog into a milkshake. Simply blend a cup of frozen banana and add it into the mix for frozen banana milkshake goodness!

Matcha CBD Latte

A soothing cup of matcha latte is the perfect end to a stressful day. Matcha is a type of powdered green tea that’s rich in antioxidants and helps with relaxation and alertness. 


  • 1 cup of coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons of hot water
  • 1 1/4 tablespoons of matcha powder
  • 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
  • A small dosage of CBD oil

How to prepare:

  • Mix the matcha powder in a mug with about 2 tablespoons of hot water. Keep whisking until the mixture is consistent.
  • Heat the coconut milk and add the CBD oil. Mix until frothy.
  • Pour the warm coconut milk into the mug with the matcha powder.
  • Mix properly and serve hot.

CBD Ginger Beer

This CBD beverage is relaxing, refreshing, and delicious! If you’re a fan of Moscow mule, you’ll definitely enjoy this blend of CBD ginger beer.


  • 6 cups of water
  • 2 cups of seltzer
  • 1 cup of honey
  • 2 tablespoons of CBD 
  • 1/2 pound of peeled and thinly sliced ginger
  • 1/2 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Ice
  • 3 shots of bourbon or whiskey (optional)

How to prepare:

  • Heat two cups of water in a pan. Add the ginger after the water has boiled.
  • Lower the heat and simmer for about 20 minutes.
  • Remove the pan and add the lemon juice and honey into the mix.
  • Stir and wait for the mixture to cool before adding theCBD oil.
  • Pour the beverage into a pitcher and add the water, bourbon, and seltzer.
  • Serve with ice and you’re done!

CBD Mezcal Margarita

This margarita recipe takes a spin by adding CBD into the marvelous mix. Done right, you’ll hit all the right notes while getting all the health and wellness benefits of CBD!


  • 1 ounce of mezcal
  • 1 ounce of aquavit
  • 3/4 ounce of lime juice
  • 3/4 ounce of agave syrup
  • 1 ounce of green juice (kale, celery, or arugula)
  • About 15 mg of CBD oil
  • A pinch of sea salt

How to prepare:

  • Pour the lime juice, green juice, aquavit, mezcal, agave syrup, CBD oil, and sea salt into a shaker filled with ice.
  • Shake until the outside of the shaker feels cold.
  • Strain the mix into a glass over fresh ice. 
  • Serve with your choice of garnish and/or a wedge of lime

CBD Moon Milk

Just as its name suggests, moon milk is a dreamy concoction of spices that’ll leave you feeling oh-so-relaxed. It helps to think of this beverage as a grown-up version of warm milk before calling it a night, so make sure you incorporate it to your bedtime routine.


  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon of dried roses
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon of stevia or 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
  • A pinch of vanilla bean powder
  • A small dosage of CBD oil

How to prepare:

  • Bring the almond milk to a simmer in a small saucepan. 
  • Whisk in or blend the rest of the ingredients (except the rose petals) until no clumps remain. Cook until warm.
  • Pour into a mug then top with the rose petals. And voila!
